GP125 Age
Spoke with Stewart Aitken-Cade, President of the USGPRU, on the concept of age restrictions within the 125 classification and this was his response:
Age is a really tricky thing. It really should be based on the kid's maturity level and not so much their age. But that's exceedingly difficult to measure, so you need to default to the lowest common denominator if you know what I mean.
Generally speaking, the 12-year-olds seem to be mature enough to handle it. But that's not 100% guaranteed. That's why I put a rule in my book that requires kids under 14 to have race experience on something else first. So if you're 14, you can race with us having just had a race school. Under that and you must have raced dirt bikes or something like that.
You may want to consider going down to 10-yr-old with proven experience on dirt or mini's. But I really wouldn't go any younger than that even with your slower speeds. It's still enough to freak a kid out.

I take it that now you will agree. Racing in a parking lot, recruiting 12yrs Kid's for 125cc in the most armature racing on the planet is ridiculas. Most of our rules shouldn't even be based on this Pro SH.T anyway. Also, why are you targeting the lowest Federation age requirement. I sent you (4) of them. Yet you choose the lowest out of them all. If anything we should be looking at F.I.M.

Re: 2008 Rule Book Amendments
maybe this reply is unnecessary... but given the rule book and the classifications put in place... why would one buy an inline 400 if the limit for inline bikes is 600... thats like buying a scooter 50cc to race in the scooter 70 class just because you want a scooter 50....
the classification outlines and technical restrictions are put in place for fair play as always discussed... so my thoughts would be inline motorcycles race in superbike because you're allowed up to 600cc inline four stroke... i'm guessing this questions stems from someone purchasing an line 4 and wondering where it will fit?
